Sleep is the best supplement you're not taking

Sleep is the best supplement you're not taking

You don't get stronger in the gym. You get stronger when you recover from what you did in the gym, and sleep is where most of that happens.

Aim for seven to nine hours

Most adults need at least seven hours. If you train hard, the top of that range will serve you better.

Keep it regular

Going to bed and waking at the same time, even at weekends, is one of the simplest ways to sleep better.

A great programme with poor sleep loses to a good programme with great sleep.

Wind down

Dim screens an hour before bed, keep the room cool and save hard evening sessions for no later than two hours before sleep.
